Falling is Relational is shaped in relation to the way sand dunes form by-and-against natural forces. The work draws tangents between the shifting formations of the dunes and the forever-renewed language each time it is uttered. Letters and sand particles are considered together as building blocks making up wholes in flux. As poetry printed out as a letter, photographed and immortalized in archival form, the work performs a naive, childlike resistance to change and transformation, while inherently coming to terms with them.
